Nfamara holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and Finance from the University of The Gambia and an MBA in Project Management from the University of Salford, UK.

He began his career at the Gambia Ports Authority before moving into the development sector with the Child Protection Alliance in 2004. There, he rose to the role of National Coordinator, leading projects supported by Save the Children, UNICEF, and other partners.

Nfamara joined ChildFund in 2008 and has held key leadership positions including Sponsorship & Communications Manager and Child Protection and Emergency Focal Point. Since 2017, he has served as Programs and Sponsorship Director, providing strategic oversight and support for program implementation and impact.

He has also held leadership roles in youth-focused initiatives and served on several boards, including WANEP Gambia and the Child Protection Alliance. He currently chairs the President’s International Award and is the Founding Chairman of the Children’s Foundation of The Gambia.
